Short Biography

Laura Winter is a Swiss trumpeter whose work bridges the clarity of baroque sound aesthetics with the expressive possibilities of contemporary performance. Known for her warm, vocal tone and stylistic sensitivity, she performs regularly with ensembles such as the Zurich Opera, Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, Bern Symphony Orchestra, Basel Symphony Orchestra, and Stuttgart Opera.

She studied Modern and Baroque Trumpet at the Zurich University of the Arts and the Lucerne School of Music, completing her Master of Arts in Specialized Orchestral Performance in 2023. Her artistic development has been shaped by academy positions with the Bern Symphony Orchestra, Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie Koblenz, and the Zermatt Festival Orchestra.

In addition to her orchestral and chamber work, Laura explores brass band, pop, and rock projects, and teaches trumpet with a Master of Music Pedagogy.
